I truly appreciated the elegant and cozy decor in the hotel's common areas. The comfortable seating and the lovely floral arrangements made it a pleasant place to relax and unwind. Additionally, the hotel's convenient location and easy access to nearby attractions made it perfect for senior guests like myself.
I would wish for better accessibility for senior people, like myself, especially in terms of room facilities.

During our stay in Edinburgh, we were thrilled to explore the enchanting Water of Leith Walkway. The peaceful walks along the flowing streams were a delightful way to immerse ourselves in the serene natural beauty of the area. The magnificent views of Holyrood Park from Duddingston Golf Club added an extra touch of charm to our family getaway.
My wife says that a children's play area at the hotel would have been great for our little ones.

We enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel as it was not far from the city centre, and we didn't have to travel far to explore the sights of this city. Additionally, the friendly staff made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. We appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and the fact that the breakfast had a good hot food selection. We also liked the fact that we could easily park our car at the hotel.
Not obvious to find.

I always return for the holiday. The staff helped with plug adaptors at my first stay. The place suits me perfectly, meeting all my needs like paid Wi-Fi, parking, 24-hour reception, and a bar. It's just right for me.

I've stayed at Britannia a number of times as a break from horrible neighbors. It's conveniently located, reasonably priced, and does the job for a bed for the night. The staff were kind and the rooms were warm with good water pressure. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the beer prices were surprisingly cheap for a hotel.
I definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a great value for money with its affordable prices and attention to detail. It is located in a quiet area, right next to a river, offering a peaceful and relaxing setting. The staff provide excellent service, and the basic amenities are well-maintained. The rooms with a view of the river are a lovely addition, allowing guests to enjoy a picturesque scene during their stay.
All aspects of this hotel were satisfactory.

Great location, easily walkable to the city center. Pet-friendly hotel with a variety of channels on TV. The bathroom/shower was nice.
Felt like royalty, nothing to complain about.

The Street of Sorrows brought me to Edinburgh's City of Dead Tour, a spine-chilling experience that took me through a dark history with gothic ghouls. It felt like entering the psychedelic version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The tour, originally designed by an award-winning novelist, kept me on the edge of my seat.
Car parking situation.

Our window had a beautiful view of the city. Even though we had trouble closing it, the staff was helpful and fixed it quickly. The location was great and we enjoyed our stay. Overall I would recommend this hotel, despite the window issue.

The location of the hotel is quite convenient as it's very close to the city centre and the hotel is located near a river. The staff is friendly and very helpful, which is a plus for guests. the rooms have some advantages such as having a desk to work, and the cost of the hotel is quite affordable for a relatively close to the centre stay.
One negative fact about my stay was the cleanliness, with remnants of the previous guests left in the room and the bathroom.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a large, comfortable bed and a TV. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, even allowing us to store our luggage after check-out. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of variety. The residents' lounge was a pleasant place to relax. The WiFi was free and unlimited.

The room was cozy and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The TV and coffee maker were lifesavers!
The bathroom was a bit small for my liking.

I tucked into the tasty Big Britannia Breakfast, though the lighter options were tempting too. Inverlieth Park provided a charming backdrop for a stroll, even in colder months. The National Museum of Scotland was a must-visit, Edinburgh's largest and busiest museum.
I just loved how there was only one option for main in the evening meal, and the reheated packet food was such a delightful surprise. So gourmet!
